I'm Curious...

Maybe this will answer your question

Can I join UCMHP?

Becoming a member of UCMHP is not a personal option. Only professional organizations can join the coalition. We encourage you to join your specific organization (UMHCA, UAMFT, or NASW-UT) to make your voice heard.

How did UCMHP form?

Taking a process of years, the idea to form UCMHP was a calculated process of the Utah Mental Health Counselors Association, the Utah Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and the National Association of Social Workers - Utah Chapter. Together, they become a stronger voice in advocating for the mental health therapists in Utah.

Will this conference be in addition to or in place of my organization’s typical spring conference?

This conference is in lieu of your organization’s (NASW-UT, UAMFT, UMHCA) typical spring conference.

Can somebody switch between virtual and in-person attendance? What would that entail?

Yes. They’ll just need to email Rebecca at director.ucmhp@gmail.com

Will Dr. Neff's keynote be available virtually?

Yes, it is available in person and virtually. Dr. Kristin Neff’s keynote address is Monday, April 15 from 2-6:00pm.

Is it possible to buy admission to only one or two of the days of the conference?

No. We have worked hard to keep registration prices down with student fees starting at $150 and member fees starting at $250.

Is the evening presentation by Dr. Neff included in the regular registration?

No. There is a $25 fee in addition to the typical registration to attend her evening presentation. This event is open to the public and no CEs will be available.
