This is a conference that has its roots in pre-COVID. So much of our three professions overlap both in practice and legislatively. The three organizations started meeting together once a quarter to become more unified in our efforts to protect the public interest and that of the clinician. Coordinated letters to representatives were drafted, unified voices to rule-makers were communicated. It got to a point where our efforts together culminated in the desire to stand side-by-side at a conference, or a mental health "summit" of types. The official Coalition was born shortly thereafter.
